The RADHAR logo symbolises robotic aid (the robotic hand in the logo) for navigation tasks (the steering wheel in the logo) of semi-autonomous systems, i.e. systems where both a computer and a human driver (the human hand in the logo) give input.
Furthermore, the RADHAR logo symbolises the continuous, life-long adaptation of the robot to the human and of the human to the robot. The robot tries to understand the human driver in order to provide assistance, and therefore adapts to the driver. As a consequence of the changing behaviour of the robotic assistance, the human driver changes his/her mental model of the robot, and therefore his/her driving behaviour may change as well. For this reason, the robot needs to adapt again: Robotic ADaptation to Humans Adapting to Robots.
